Your Water Adventure Awaits You On the Chattahochee River.

Welcome to Chattahochee Outdoors, a company dedicated to providing safe educational opportunities in outdoor recreation. This summer Tube Rentals start Memorial Day weekend and end shortly after Labor Day. We provide leisurely floats down the Chattahochee River. Come to Azalea Park and we will shuttle you to Riverside Park/The Boathouse and you will float to Azalea Park.  Or tube from Powers Island to Paces Mill for a 3 mile trip through rocky shoals.  Tubers 17 and under must have written parental consent. 

Our tube excursions consist of a leisurely, self guided, three to five mile float down the Chattahoochee River. Reservations are accepted but usually not required except for holidays. While water conditions and weather are variable, call ahead to make sure we are operating that day.

During the week, you can tube the Riversid/The Boathouse trip 7 days a week by dropping into our headquarters location at 203 Azalea Drive, Roswell 30075.   At this time we require reservations for tubing during the week from Powers Island.  We strongly recommend reservations at all times at all locations to be certain we have the equipment you want.

At Powers Island (Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area) we are not allowed to accept cash at the location.  We can accept credit cards.

Estimating duration for trip is difficult because it is based on how much you stop along the way, current and wind. 

 

River Safety Tips

• Tell someone where you are going, when you expect to return, and where to call if you don't.

• Make sure that your water skills and experience are equal to the river and the conditions.

• Wear a Coast Guard approved type III-V, properly adjusted lifejacket at all times when you are in or near the river.

• Reduce injuries by wearing protective foot wear and proper clothing designed for river recreation.

• Be prepared for extremes in weather, especially cold.

• Know about hypothermia and how it can affect you.

• Plan your trip and stick to your plan.
