Leave your worries and cares at home - enjoy the peaceful sounds and beautiful scenery of the Chattahochee River.

We offer fun and easy canoe and kayak trips for families and groups of all ages - or by yourself!

We offer Old Own and Mad River canoes for your boating pleasure.  Reservations are recommended.  Children under 18 must have written parental permission.

Rent the finest quality canoes for a scenic float with gentle rapids down the Chattahochee River to Island Ford, Garrard Landing or Riverside Park for a delightful paddle to Azalea Park.  At Azalea Park, you can also rent canoes and kayaks by the hour.  The last hourly rental is at 6 pm.  Reservations are recommended.

You can also rent canoes and kayaks for a trip from Johnson Ferry (6 miles) to Paces Mill or from Powers Island (3 miles) to Paces Mill.  Reservations are required for the Johnson Ferry and Powers Ferry trips. 

All trips include paddles and life jackets.  Shuttle bus is extra.  Parking is free at Azalea Drive but Chattahoochee River National Park requires you to pay $3 per car.

Big Canoe - 8 Persons Min at Azalea Park	$15 per person per hour

By Georgia Law, children 10 and under must wear a life jacket.  Our insurance company wants everyone to wear a life jacket.  Each boat must have a life jacket for each person in the boat. 

Canoeing and Kayaking Tips

• One life jacket per person must accompany each canoe or kayak.

• Wear your life jacket.

• Wear old sneakers or river shoes.

• DO NOT LITTER or destroy our beautiful river and park.

• Bring suntan lotion and insect repellent.

• If you tip, keep upstream of canoe or kayak.
